Processed Fats and Sugars are the Enemy

When is the last time you heard someone say they didn’t want to loose body fat?

Though it is a common goal for many people, few will actually make the necessary changes in their lifestyle and diet that actually allows fat loss to become a reality. Many of us continue to eat fried foods and refined sugars even though we know they are not good for us, and are major factors contributing to obesity.

Fried and processed fats, especially, are very hard for the body to break down into a usable form. If your body is unable to use fat, it will store fat.

Lipase is the enzyme that digests fat. It is very common for people to be deficient in Lipase. In recent studies of severely obese people, every single person was found to be deficient in lipase.

Supplementing with lipase when consuming fatty foods will help your body digest the bad fats and use what good nutrients are available. Lipase can also be used to help lower cholesterol and high blood pressure by digesting the undigested fats that have been stored in the blood stream.

Diets that are high in processed sugars like corn syrup, or plain table sugar, will also hinder fat loss. Processed sugar has no nutritional value and it will create a false sense of appetite. When you eat a lot of processed sugar, your body knows it does not have enough nutrients to create true energy—making you feel hungry because your body is starving for nutrients, not sugar!

Foods that are high in processed sugar will also increase the body’s tendency to convert calories into body fat. So, just because a marshmallow has zero grams of fat, that does not mean you cannot get fat eating marshmallows!

Sugar also creates insulin surges and sudden, unstable swings in blood sugar.

If you choose to eat a diet that is high in processed fat and sugar, you should at least assist your body and give it the nutrients it needs to digest fat and regulate your blood sugar. Even if your diet is “usually good,” you should still utilize appropriate supplements during the times your diet is less-than-perfect.

Another essential ingredient in helping your body digest refined fats and sugars is Chromium. Chromium is a mineral that stimulates glucose receptor sites and is helpful for balancing blood sugar.

The Pilot’s Super Supplement contains both Lipase and Chromium, along with other powerful nutrients proven to help with digesting fat, regulating blood sugar levels, and lowering cholesterol. The Chromium in Optimal Fat Sugar is a patented form of “chelated” Chromium and is more powerful than Chromium Picolinate and other synthetics. Synthetics are cheaper to manufacture, but are much less effective.
