Common Q & A's

PLEASE NOTE: Our product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Our product contains whole food based nutrients that have been clinically proven to nutritionally support the body. However, under the rules created by the FDA, we cannot claim that, by consuming these nutrients, it will cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease. And, because of the nature of how we produce our vitamin--using only natural ingredients--The Pilot's Super Supplement will never be classified as a drug. Only a drug, approved by the FDA, may claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

1. Why do you consider this a "super" supplement?
We have designed this supplement to go way beyond the traditional vitamin-mineral. It includes all five of the most important nutrients: digestive enzymes, probiotics, antioxidants AND vitamins and minerals. Typically the health-conscious consumer purchases three or four products to acquire all this essential nutrients. The nutrients we include are highly-absorbable whole foods. We have kept the pricing low--a fraction of what it would cost purchasing each of the essential nutrients separately. We feel this makes it a super supplement!

2. Why do I need to take 9 capsules a day?
When you create a whole food product, you keep everything from the food except the fiber and water. This takes up much more room than the synthetic vitamins that only have a fraction of the vitamin or mineral. Also, as noted above, we have also included essential nutrients besides vitamins and minerals. Because of this, it is necessary to take several capsules three times per day for maximum benefit... but now you no longer have to take supplements from several different bottles to accomplish this!

3 . What are enzymes and what do they do?
Enzymes are tiny proteins that are found in all raw foods to help them digest and be more readily absorbed in the body. Enzymes are destroyed at 118 F and are not present in processed foods. This puts the burden on the body to digest the food on its own and when it can't do it properly, problems arise. If fats are not digested properly we can get excess fat storage.

4. Is this product considered vegetarian?
Our product is not completely vegetarian. We use shark cartilage and our colostrum comes from New Zealand cows that are organically fed with no steroids, hormones or antibiotics. The capsules are preservative-free gelatin.

5. I have heard that you have to keep probiotics refrigerated, and to buy probiotics off the shelf at room temperature is not a good idea. Is this true?
Typically, yes; however, the stabilized probiotics we use are dormant at room temperature due to a unique cryogenic process. Only with the addition of water do they become active. Even stabilized probiotics should be kept away from very high temperatures and direct sunlight; however, they are very durable.

6. Do you use organic ingredients? Are there fillers?
All ingredients that can be organic, are; however, due to the fact that our first consideration is to locate whole food ingredients that contain extremely hight concentrations of the desired nutrient, it is not always possible to secure a completely organic food. There are no fillers. We stuff as many nutrient-dense whole foods as we can into each capsule.

7. What are the capsules made out of?
The Pilot's Super Supplement utilizes a preservative-free gel capsule. This capsule is an animal by product, but it is only the gel portion and each "batch" has been thoroughly tested for purity before utilization in the encapsulation process. Other products on the market--designed for joint support--use this form of gel as their only ingredient due to its incredible benefits. For this reason we feel it is actually an added benefit, though these properties are not listed in the nutritional facts.

8 . What is the cellular absorption rate of your vitamins?

The cellular absorption rate is based on the individual ingredients. For example, if you look at our website under minerals you will see different absorption rates from the studies of each mineral. Every single nutrient in the product has a proprietary delivery system know as "opti-blend". This delivery system utilizes enzymes and patented minerals in specific amounts to break down the nutrients and deliver them on the cellular level.

9. Have these vitamins been approved by the FDA?
The FDA doesn't need to approve any whole food based vitamin supplement since they are food-derived. The FDA does have a GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) list they publish that lists all the nutrients that are considered safe. The Pilot's Super Supplement's nutrients are all on this list. The Perfect Pill nutrients also use only whole food based nutrients.

10. Why are the vitamins and minerals in The Pilot's Super Supplement "highly absorbable"?
The absorption of the vitamins and minerals are dependent on several factors. The most imprtant consideration is, "Are the nutrients in their organic state?" In other words, are the nutrients in the state as close to the form they were in when they were in the ground. Nature makes foods in the right form so that they are absorbed easily. This includes Vitamins, Minerals, Enzymes, Probiotics and Antioxidants--all of thes are best acquired from foods.

Most supplement products are synthetically made and do not have the same absorption benefits. The Pilot's Super Supplement uses Organic whole food nutrients and organic minerals that are patented and proven through research to be absorbed up to 400% better than synthetic nutrients. The absorption of each mineral and vitamin is different, but we have also purchased a proprietary delivery system for the formula (trademarked as "Opti-Blend") that greatly enhances the absorption of the nutrients. It does this by adding back even more enzymes and minerals from nature that are proven to help with the absorption and assimilation process.

A common side-affect when taking synthetic vitamins is that the urine becomes a dark yellow or orange color, because much of the so-called "nutrients" are simply passing through the system unabsorbed. When taking whole-food supplements you will not notice this drastic coloring which is commonly referred to as "expensive urine." (A derogatory term correctly recognizing that many supplements are completely useless.)

11. How many different ingredients are in this vitamin?
That number changes based on new research and the amounts of nutrients in each crop of whole foods and herbs. The consistency of bringing you 100% of everything you need is our number 1 priority. At the present time we have over 75 different nutrients in the formula.

12. Can children take this vitamin, and if so, how many capsules should they take daily?
Since The Pilot's Super Supplement is whole-food based then it is safe for most children. We recommend two-thirds the adult dosage for youth and slighter women.

13. Can pregnant women take this vitamin?

Absolutely. In fact, if you take a look at the research on our website you will see that some of the most important nutrients for pregnancy, like Iron and Vitamin A, are much more highly-absorbed and safe (due to their whole food state) than so-called pre-natal formulas on the market.

14. How does the pricing of The Pilot's Super Supplement compare to other nutritional supplements?
A cheap vitamin/mineral product from the local drug store would cost less because it is made with synthetic ingredients and only contains vitamins and minerals. The Pilot's Super Supplement contains not only vitamins and minerals, but also the other nutrients that have been noted above--and they come from a more expensive source: real foods. If you were to purchase all of these essential nutrients as separate products from a health food store, you would be paying three or four times the cost of The Pilot's Super Supplement.

15. Will I notice a difference in how I feel after taking these vitamins? If so, how long might it take?
The Pilot's Super Supplement supports the body's systems nutritionally, so you might not feel a major surge in energy immediately. If you are deficient in a nutrient that is needed in the body, then you might feel a dramatic change as many of our users have. Additionally, it is likely that you will see some improvement in minor digestive disorders, such as flatulence, thanks to the digest enzymes and probiotics. However, don't feel bad if you don't notice drastic changes in these areas. Just do your own research on the importance of the ingredients we have included in this product and be excited about the quality of life you are creating for years to come.

16. How do you determine what vitamins are needed for a given body type?
The parameters for most vitamins and minerals are broad but there are some important factors that remain consistent with all of us. Research also shares with us the major concerns of the population in North America and the deficiencies that occur. We have also made sure the levels of nutrients for specific concerns are elevated in The Pilot's Super Supplement so that we cover the basis for most all the population.

17. How is this multivitamin different than any other multivitamin?
Numerous differences! I highly recommend looking at our website and going through each of the sections that show the research behind each nutrient. Here are a few major differences:

A. The Pilot's Super Supplement is one of only a few whole-food vitamin formulas that has a proprietary delivery system included (opti-blend TM) to ensure even greater absorption.

B. The Pilot's Super Supplement only uses nutrients that have been proven to benefit the body and we don't use any fillers or useless ingredients.

C. All of The Pilot's Super Supplement nutrients are the best form available regardless of their popularity; for example, we use the organic patented form of Chromium instead of the popular Chromium Picolinate. We keep this high commitment with all of our nutrients.

18. Do you need to take food with this vitamin?
At first some people are not used to absorbing many good nutrients into their system so it is advised to take it with food. As you get used to all the powerful nutrients in The Pilot's Super Supplement you should be able to take it anytime that it is convenient for you; however, it is still recommended that you take it with your meals as the enzymes and stomache support nutrients will help with the proper digestion and assimilation of your foods.

19. Is it okay to have caffeine while taking this vitamin?
Caffeine is a stimulant and its intake should be limited and determined by each individual. The Pilot's Super Supplement helps your body absorb all nutrients better, and this includes caffeine. Be aware that caffeine will absorb faster, so be sure you listen to your body and make well-informed decisions.

20. Is heat used in making this vitamin? Are the nutrients in the vitamin still considered to be alive?
No heat is used to make our vitamin. Heat-free processing is a requiremnt of our manufacturing. That is one of the reasons that the formula is in a capsule. We use plant enzymes, live probiotics and whole foods in our formula. So, we need to make sure that the temperature never goes above 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the entire process so that everything is alive and stays that way.

21. When the vitamins are formulated, what is the resident frequency used?
We utilize the understanding of Dextro-rotatory spins with our nutrients. What this means is that we make sure every nutrient has a right hand (life-giving) spin to it. If it is a Levo-rotatory (non life-bearing) spin then we do not use that nutrient.

22. What is the Ph level of The Pilot's Super Supplement?

The Ph level will change slightly with each batch due to the nature of whole foods, but the formula will always be alkaline and help the body deal with the acid environment we all encounter in our daily lives.

23. Regarding folate, is a generic or synthetic form of folic acid used in this vitamin?

The B-Vitamins in the formula like folic acid and folate come from the whole food source of vegetarian yeast. Additional amounts of each vitamin are added to the whole food base to ensure the nutrients take on the organic right hand spin direction needed to work properly in the body.

24. Is this form of glucosamine from shellfish or from another source?
Our form of glucosamine has never and will never be from shellfish. We get our glucosamine from shark or free-range bovine.

25. Is it bad for women to take iron after menopause?
Organic absorbable iron is not bad for women to take after menopause. If this were true, you would be told not to eat dark green vegetables. The non-absorbable form of iron (iron sulfate) is what is not good for them to take, because it is so hard for the body to absorb.

26. Where do the fruits and vegetables used to make this vitamin com from? Are they ALL organic?
Every fruit and vegetable that can be acquired organically is. Many of our fruits come from the Ecuadorian rain forest. All of our fruits and vegetables are pesticide-free.

27. What is the source for the Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin)?

The B source for The Pilot's Super Supplement is Vegetarian Yeast. All of the whole foods are fed the regular source of vitamins that are found in the stores. The whole foods take in the left hand spin versions and convert them over just like plants do in nature.

28. I thought Vitamin E, as from d-alpha tocopherols, was synthetic. The Pilot's Super Supplement lists Vitamin E with this, can you explain this?
The tocopherols are from seed oil and wheat germ. The formula follows the same process as listed above.

29. The probiotic blend lists some unusual sounding strains - for example: Bifidobacterium infantis. What do these various strains represent and where are they from?
All of the strains of probiotics come from Nebraska Cultures. These specific strains were picked by the research scientists at Nebraska Cultures as the ones that are most needed in the human intestinal tract for increased immunity and absorption of nutrients.

30. What process is used (freeze-drying, lyopilization, etc) in the production of The Pilot's Super Supplement?
The process used in the Pilot's Super Supplement is specific to each type of nutrient. The whole foods are cool-air dried so that the enzyme content is retained. The probiotics utilize a patented cryogenic process developed at the University of Nebraska under the direction of Dr. Khem Shahani. The minerals are organically chelated with amino acids through a patented process through Albion Labs in Clearfield, Utah. The enzymes are all plant based and they are from a fermentation process out of India under the direction of Vic Rathy. All of our processes are the very best known to science to guarantee the delivery of the nutrients at the cell level.

31. What is the difference between The Pilot's Super Supplement and "pharmaceutical-grade" vitamins?
Typically it is two things. 1) Most pharmaceutical grade vitamins are made in the lab utilizing synthetic chemicals. 2) Others referencs are commenting on the quality systems that are in place to ensure consistent quality. We adhere to these systems with The Pilot's Super Supplement, manufacturing the supplements in a GMP facility.

32. Is there any way to remove yeast from the vitamin?

The yeast in our formula is a nutritional yeast, which does not create any of the adverse reactions other yeasts do. Most people that normally have sensitivities to certain ingredients such as this, or to certain vegetables, do not have these same sensitivities to The Pilot's Super Supplement because we use enzymes to pre-digest the nutrients. Please, read the Q&A section of the site regarding food allergies for more information.

33. Is The Pilot's Super Supplement gluten free?

Yes.

34. Is it really necessary to take 3 vitamins 3 times a day if a person is smaller than average height and lighter then average weight?
The Pilot's Super Supplement is formulated to give you 100% of your daily needs for Vitamins and Minerals based on Government regulations for the average American. These basic daily needs are actually just a guideline and we have found that every adult needs at least these amounts. You are fine with taking the recommended amount and your body will definitely benefit from them even if there is a little extra because you are taking in whole foods.

35 . I heard that streptococcus thermophilus is not a good thing to take for a long period of time. Is this true?

Thermophilus is a great choice for our formula, because it is one of the friendly bacteria that is deficient in a lot of the U.S. population due to our poor diet choices. Our probiotic choices are based on the research of Dr. Khem Shahani of Nebraska Cultures. He has many peer-reviewed published articles and research studies he produced while at the University of Nebraska. In fact, he has been noted as the world's leading authority in probiotics.

Antibiotics, carbonation and stress are not specific to what bacteria they destroy. All the friendly bacteria are destroyed when consuming these products. It makes sense that we need to add them all back to the body consistently.

36. What do your gelatin capsules consist of?
There are two types of gelatin capsules. Our capsules are pesticide and contaminant free. The source is usually bovine, but the only thing that is used is the gel. This capsule is the best capsule available guaranteeing complete dissolution and delivery time. The most popular type of capsule is not tested for pesticides or any residue from the animals.

37. Does the vitamin have Phosphoric Acid?
No.

38. Wheat germ is in The Pilot's Super Supplement and wheat germ has gluten in it, yet the website shows it's gluten-free. Can you please explain?
We use only the germ and it is gluten-free.

39 . The Pilot's Super Supplement has 30 IU of vitamin E per daily serving. I thought the daily requirement was 400 IU. Can you explain?

The supplemental label laws from the FDA list Vitamin E at 30 IU's for 100% of a person's daily needs. We go off of the government’s studies and recommendations. Depending on your diet, it is entirely likely that additional Vitamin E may be beneficial to your diet; however, The Pilot's Super Supplement is designed to provide a well-rounded addition to the average person's nutritional intake..

40. Some women stay away from wild yam because of the hormonal effects. What advice do you have for this?
The hormonal effects are from providing the whole food, and the body using what it needs. For most people the yam acts just like a sweet potato and provides great amounts of vitamin A.

41. I am allergic to caffeine, is there caffeine in Pilot's Super Supplement?
There is a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine as part of the plant of the Yerba Mate.

42. Is it true that having spinach present with calcium prevents absorption of the calcium?
The only time spinach or any other food can hurt the absorption of calcium is when the calcium is not in the Amino Acid Chelated form. Our minerals are complete just like nature makes them. The reason other minerals like calcium carbonate or calcium citrate have a hard time when they are combined with foods is because they are not complete and one of the receptor sites of the mineral is bound to chemicals in the food that make it hard to absorb.

43. Is heat involved in the mineral-chelation part of manufacturing this supplement?
Yes, at first there is a heat chemical-reaction bonding of the mineral to the amino acids just like nature does. This is a natural process that occurs but one as the research points out, doesn't denature any of the minerals.

44. Does The Pilot's Super Supplement have carbohydrates?
There is a difference between Macronutrients like Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats. Micronutrients are vitamins, minerals, enzymes and probiotics. A vitamin product is a micronutrient product and is not considered a carbohydrate. If there were carbs or proteins in the formula it would have to be listed on the label.

45. If someone has trouble with Yeast, can he/she take The Pilot's Super Supplement?
You should always consult with your doctor before you take any supplement product. The amount of yeast in The Pilot's Super Supplement is small; however, the decision of whether even a small amount of yeast is appropriate should be between you and your doctor.

We hope that you enjoy the education we provide and that you will make sure you start making your health the #1 priority in your life!
